IALA Has Turned Two!
On March 21, we mark the International Armenian Literary Alliance’s second anniversary. And we are so grateful that you have been a part of this amazing literary journey with us!
Since our launch in 2021:
- We have provided professional and creative guidance to 15 emerging writers through our annual Mentorship Program;
- Given 7 high school poets a chance to publish their work on an international stage through our Young Armenian Poets Awards;
- Hosted more than 15 readings and discussions with Armenian authors and publishers, such as Literary Lights, our most recent collaboration with NAASR and the Zohrab Center;
- Awarded two annual $2,500 grants for new works of creative writing and translations;
- And helped dozens of authors market their publications who have gone on to win awards, and advocate for Armenian literature and culture in a variety of media and across continents.
In celebration of our second anniversary, we are hoping to raise $2,000. You can select any of the tiers below to support a specific activity of ours:
- $500 to run a literary event promoting our writers
- $100 to support the participation of the next emerging Armenian writer in our programming
- $50 to enable an aspiring writer to have a free or discounted place in a workshop
- $25 to promote a member’s publication
Any donation, big or small, will help us develop new programming and empower Armenian writers across the world. Donate today.
If you aren’t a IALA member and wish to become one, we offer a wide range of member-only benefits which you can learn about here.
