Support Artsakh Writers

Donate today to help four Armenian writers who were forcibly displaced from their homes in Artsakh after Azerbaijan’s violent assault on the republic in September, 2023. These four women, two of whom are teenagers, are currently living in temporary accommodation in Armenia, and are in need of housing.

On September 19, Azerbaijan waged a violent assault against Armenian civilians in the autonomous republic of Nagorno-Karabakh, known to Armenians as Artsakh, forcing over 100,000 people to leave their homeland, where Armenians have lived for over 2,000 years.

Since December 2022, Azerbaijan had blockaded Artsakh, cutting off the civilian population from food, medicine, fuel, and basic necessities. That action, designed to starve the population into submission or flight, drew charges of genocide from an array of international experts and watchdog groups.
