Support Artsakh
In the fall of 2020, a humanitarian crisis unfolded in the region Armenians call Artsakh, which has been home to Armenians for hundreds of years. Azerbaijan, with military support from Turkey, launched a war that resulted in the loss of thousands of lives and an unacceptable “ceasefire treaty” imposed by Russia.
IALA hosted a literary series to raise funds to support Artsakh.
Since then, the need to support Artsakh and Armenia has only grown.
Here are ways you can continue to help:
Direct Action
Go to anca.org for the latest actions you can take to advocate for Artsakh with Congress and the Biden Administration. From their website you can contact your representatives to recognize Artsakh as an independent Republic, cut off all military aid to Azerbaijan, sanction Azerbaijan and Turkey, and for the United States to lead the OSCE Minsk group to amend the Russian imposed treaty.

For years now, Azerbaijan has spent billions of dollars to buy both positive media coverage and political support for the authoritarian dictatorship. Through the use of fake accounts, they flooded social media with false information. It is important to use reliable sources.
