Writers need readers. But before that, they need support. 

Since the International Armenian Literary Alliance’s inception in 2021, we have been solely focused on supporting the future of Armenian literature by:

– Encouraging emerging writers ⁠— We provide guidance to emerging writers through our annual Mentorship Program and give high school poets a chance to publish their work on an international stage through our Young Armenian Poets Awards. 

– Supporting established authors ⁠— We host readings and discussions with Armenian authors and publishers, and help them market their books to ensure Armenian stories reach a wider audience. We’ve also launched two annual $2,500 grants for new works of creative writing and translations.

– Fostering a literary community ⁠— Our writers have gone on to publish, win awards, and advocate for Armenian literature and culture in a variety of media and across continents.

With your generous donation, we will expand our programming in 2023. We will establish writing workshops and host a reading series featuring newly released books by Armenian authors. Your contribution will help us continue to lift up the next generation of Armenian writers, facilitate a resurgence of Armenian literature, and in doing so, proactively define our legacy.
