Alec Ekmekji is a poet and retired engineer with a career in the defense industry. Over the years he has served on the boards of The Armenian Alumni Association, the AGBU Ardavazt Theater Company, and the Armenian Allied Arts Association. He has also published two books of poetry, Beneath the Glass Bell and The Unauthorized Biography of Tango Woman.
Alec was born in Aleppo, and lives in Los Angeles. He is a graduate of UCLA, where he studied physics and mathematics.
